What is the best water purifier in the home available?

I've been looking for ways to filter water from my well … tastes very rusty and not very nice. I'm trying to find a filter that uses no electricity and removes rust or bacteria in my water. I'm just looking for a filter used to drink alone. I do not want a filter for my whole family. Can anyone find any results?
