Rust Weathering

rust weathering
I am starting to get a rust spot on my car. How do I stop it and get rid of it?

I have a 96 chevy blazer and it looks like new. I have always taken really good care of it and it has been kept in the garage during inclements of weather. Now there is a rust spot at the area when you open the back door. You can’t see it unless you open the door. I hate it, how do I get rid of it.

get some emory cloth at the hardware store. just ask a clerk for it. get two grits (fineness of the sand), use the heavy grit (about 160) at first, then, use the second, lighter grit (about 320) and sand it down to bare metal. if it is a small spot, put the emory cloth on the end of a pencil etc. something small. then, go to the dealership and get touch up paint. they should have the color, or a close match. use a cotton swab (Q-tip) and apply it.
All done. but…you must get down to bare metal to stop the rust.
