Rust Off Bicycle

How do you get rust off of bicycle handles and bars?

I have an old stove and when I purchased it (I love antiques) there was some rust on the feet and the cooking surface. Since I wanted to use this stove, I couldn’t let the rust be there. My aunt told me to use Coca Cola and it would take it off, so I did. It completely removed the rust spots and now my stove looks good as new (well old..lol)
