Rust Off Golf Clubs

Proper Golf Club Care to Keep Your Clubs Sparkling
When it comes to most sports you are only as good as your equipment allows you to be.,I in golf this statement is very true as dirty or damaged golf clubs can really foul up your shots and put a damper on your leisurely game of golf. As well as making sure that your clubs don’t hamper your progress there is also the concern that poorly maintained clubs could lead to them not lasting as long., Cconsidering how some golf clubs can cost upwards of a few hundred pounds you should be taking every measure to ensure that your clubs last as long as possible.
First of all storing your clubs in the proper place can help you prolong the life of your clubs and some of the common places golf clubs are stored can be bad for the clubs, such as the garage or the car boot. The change in humidity and temperature that your clubs could be exposed to means that your clubs could be damaged. Storing your clubs in a proper golf bag will help keep your clubs dry and safe from any harm.
Some golfers go an extra step further with individual head covers for all their clubs too, even including the putter. A knock or a mark on the putter face can affect your putt’s direction and the same can be said for all the other clubs in your bag.
Cleaning your golf clubs should be done regularly, if not after every round then at least every few rounds. During a game of golf your clubs can become covered in grass, sand, dirt and water so you should try to keep your clubs clean with a soft brush and warm water. Make sure you dry them off properly after washing to prevent rusting or any other damage. Likewise when you’re out on the course it is worthwhile having a small towel attached to your golf bag or trolley to wipe your clubs down before putting them back in the bag.
The grips on your golf clubs need to be cleaned too, as well as not being left in the bag whilst wet. You need to make sure the grips are clean but not wet as this can cause them to deteriorate or come loose. Cleaning grips is as simple as wiping down with a damp cloth. When cleaning you should look for areas that may be deteriorating such as shiny areas or cracks in the rubber. If your club grips have seen better days then you need to make sure that they are replaced or repaired quickly, your grips are vital when holding the club and can affect your shots considerably.
Keeping a close eye on your golf clubs condition can help you get the most use for your money but also keep hitting shots with clean and fully functioning golf clubs.
Make sure you take care of your golf clubs but also make sure they are covered by a comprehensive golf insurance policy. For travelling abroad to play golf there are golf travel insurance policies that can help you make sure your valuable golf equipment is safe when travelling.
