Rust Gold Granite

Need kitchen countertop advice?
I’ve ordered light/medium cherry cabinets and have a honey colored oak floor. We’ve been searching for granite and we differ in our opinions on the best choice. My husband likes Magna black which has a black background and swirls of gold/cream/rust. I like something more muted, but I’m afraid we’ll get tired of it. We’re also thinking about resale in the future and don’t want something too trendy. I want a warm, traditional look, too.
Any suggestiions?
I agree with your husband. With the muted cabinets and floors that coordinate that you need a contrasting countertop. I like black and the idea of some other colors running through it is a good idea since solid black is difficult to keep looking clean. My personal preference with granite is to have it honed. You won’t be sorry. By having it honed you remove the high polish and not only does it hide fingerprints and the like but it has a more cozy feel. Have fun!!
